REPO Meme

8D Finally finished. Off and on for a month on this one. Also the file got corrupted once, but my friend Andrew helped me get it back with a System Restore It turned a lot of the colors funky... But at least I got it back :3

Anywho, my obsession: REPO: The Genetic Opera. Thanks to for showing it to me- She runs the fanclub here on DevArt: It's basically a god-awesome rock opera movie. It stars people like Sarah Brightman (my favorite opera singer), Anthony Head (Giles from Buffy- remember how awesome he was in the musical?), Paris Hilton (who is really amazing in the role- hardly recognized her at first), and Terrance Zdunich, this awesome guy who not only co-wrote the movie, but also draws, and has sang and acted as Graverobber in every musical of REPO and in the movie

He's the poor fellow being tagged in that last skit. Though I don't think he'll ever actually see this, just thought it would be funny to add him in. Plus it gives me more of an excuse to spam you with his website (mind the roachies, plz): [link] Check out his upcoming books- and his paintings are so bloody cool D:

The pick-up line Graverobber's using in number 8 is a play on the lyrics of Zydrate Anatomy, one of the coolest songs in the movie. Youtube: [link]

Let's see, what else. Ah, that song in number 3 is Genetic Emancipation, an I adore that one. Youtube: [link] I love singing along to it the most, so, yeah ^^" The scene is supposed to be mocking a Disney scene, sort of. Because the song is about setting yourself free, so there I am releasing a nice normal dove, and Graverobber has a roach. Classic.

In number 4, "squigglyspooch" is an Invader Zim reference. I'm sure most of you got it :3 In number 6... Uhm... I dunno. Lmao. I turned him into like an elf in a Victorian vampire costume. I'm a weird little hippie, dammit. The poor black sheep in number 7 is Shilo Wallace, the main character of REPO. I thought the scene in Zydrate Anatomy where Graverobber totally pointed her out was pretty funny. I also liked the part where he was whistling ^^" And I totally botched a version of the REPO costume for that last skit. Ah, well.

So, the movie had a very limited release, but hopefully it won't be too long before it comes out on DVD. I sill can't believe any critic would doubt how well it would do. It's prolly gonna have a bigger cult following than the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
